The Council of the European Union (EU) today recommended that Portugal bet on affordable housing and better access to health care, ensuring that net expenditure remains within the established limits. In a recommendation issued in the framework of the 2026 European Semester , EU Finance Ministers meeting in Brussels recommend that the Government invest in health access, in particular by addressing the shortages of professionals in the area.
