Earlier, in his speech, Ahmad Zahid expressed confidence that the TVET@KKDW contingent had the potential to make history at the WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 competition. “We want our participants to demonstrate strong mental resilience and emotional fortitude to prove that Malaysian competitors can excel on the international stage,” he said.
Furthermore, Ahmad Zahid said the government was also focusing on implementing High TVET courses to ensure graduates possessed skills that met industry demands. The PSC convened seven times after the Bill was pushed back following protests from both government and opposition lawmakers, who said they were concerned that the draft appeared to have retain the PM’s influence over the appointment process.
