Klaro is a free, neutral news service. This page explains what data we handle and how — we keep it to a minimum.
Data we collect
Reading the feed requires no account and no personal data. If you create an account, we store your email, a hashed password and your preferences (display name, language, theme). Nothing more — no profiling, no selling of data.
Cookies & local storage
We use your browser's local storage for your language, theme and (if you log in) your session token, plus one language cookie so pages render in your language on first load. These are essential, not tracking.
Advertising
Klaro may display ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) or third-party cookies at aboutads.info. If you decline consent, we show non-personalized (contextual) ads instead.
Your rights
You can access, change or delete your data at any time. Deleting your account from Settings permanently removes your data from our servers.
